Isaac was born on February 1st, 1745 in Middleboro,Plymouth,MA. Isaac's father was John Thompson and his mother was Lydia Wood. His maternal grandparents were Elnathan Wood and Mary Billington. He had five brothers and six sisters, named Shubeal, John, Ezra, Lydia, Uzza, Susanna, Lydia, Sarah, Uzza, Fear and Priscilla. He was the third oldest of the twelve children.
