Joe Sloan 
Joe was born in 1875. Joe's father was William Harrison Sloan and his mother was Sarah E. Weathers. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Neal Sloan and Mary Eads; his maternal grandparents were Henderson Weathers and Elizabeth Alspaw. He had five brothers and three sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Luther, Neal H., Clark, John E., Sherman, Eva, Elzena (Rebecca), Ella Mae and Joseph E.. He was the fourth youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 26 in 1901. He was buried in Marengo Cemetery,Marengo,Crawford County,Indiana.-
