In Nov 1754 he bought 147 A on Spreading Spring Branch, N of Looney's Mill Creek in the Fincastle Community. By 1756 he was in "Davidson County". Two years later he is referred to as living net to John Vanoy, etc. Finally in Nov 27, 1762 he got a grant in tract # 9, adj. Gershom Hunt, Joseph Brown and Patrick Sives?. From adj. deeds his land was between Swearing Creek and Potts creek. On Jan 12, 1783 Hannah (his Wife?) and Richard and Isaac were given letters of Administration.
