John Douglas Pierson 
John Douglas was born on June 16th, 1859 in Crawford,Illinois. John Douglas' father was John Moneta Pierson and his mother was Clarissa Sarah Herriman. His paternal grandparents were Shadrach , Jr. Pierson and Jane Eastin; his maternal grandparents were John S. Herriman and Elizabeth F. Gaines. He had five brothers and two sisters, named William Marcus, Elias, Joseph Asa, Shadrach Reason, Charles Lewis, Harriet Emma and Rosa Belle. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 60 on February 18th, 1920 in Tanyard,Newton Co.,Mo. He was buried in Oak Hill Cemetary,Galena,Kansas.General Notes
