Vivian Maughan was born on February 14th, 1877 in of Oakenden,Port Mackay,Queensland,Australia. Vivian Maughan's father was Arthur Kemmis and his mother was Emily Slatyer Gibson. His paternal grandparents were Arthur Kemmis and Aphra Raymond. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Arthur Hume Raymond, Ernst Sydney, Frank Cecil, Lionel de Camois, Cyril Guy, Gerald Wilfred, Mary Aphrasia May, Emily Florence Minna, Amy Constance, Ida Myzra and Ruby Muriel. He was the fifth youngest of the twelve children. He had a half-brother named Arthur Alexander. He died at the age of 46 in 1923.General Notes
