Susannah Gentry 
Susannah was born in 1772 in Surry County,North Carolina. Susannah's father was Joseph Gentry and her mother was Agnes Shelton. Her paternal grandparents were Samuel Gentry and Ann Allen; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Shelton and Lucy Austin. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Samuel, William, Shelton, Elizabeth, Agnes, Nancy Anne, Judith and Sarah. She was the youngest of the nine children.-
