Joseph Gentry 
Joseph was born in 1728 in Hanover County,Virginia. Joseph's father was Samuel Gentry and his mother was Ann Allen. His paternal grandfather was Nicholas Gentry. He had seven brothers and two sisters, named David, Nicholas, Allen, Simon, Richard, William, Samuel, Ann and Polly Elizabeth. He died about 1813 in Surry County,North Carolina.
‌Joseph and Agnes were married in a religious ceremony about 1754 in Virginia. They had three sons and six daughters, named Samuel, William, Shelton, Elizabeth, Agnes, Nancy Anne, Judith, Sarah and Susannah.

William was born in 1755 in Lunenburg County,Virginia. He died at the age of 17 in 1772 in Surry County,North Carolina.
Shelton Gentry
Shelton was born in 1757 in Lunenburg County Virginia. He died at the age of 77 in 1834 in Surry County,North Carolina.
