Thomas Raymond Young 
Thomas Raymond was born on January 8th, 1833 in ,Jessamine County,KY.1 Thomas Raymond's father was Archibald Young and his mother was Martha Glover Young. His paternal grandparents were John Young and Cynthia McCullough; his maternal grandfather was Minor Young. He had six brothers and a sister, named John, Brown, Minor, Archibald Logan, Samuel Davis, Robert and Jessamine. He was the second youngest of the eight children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Matthew Henry and Martha Foster. He died at the age of 77 on August 2nd, 1910 in Ashland,,KY.General Notes

Thomas R. YOUNG, M.D., is a native of Jessamine County, Ky., was born
January 8, 1833, and is a son of Archibald and Martha (YOUNG) YOUNG, who
were born in Woodford County, and were descendants of English ancestors, who
settled in Virginia in the Colonial days. The Doctor's maternal grandfather
was John YOUNG, who enlisted in the Revolutionary war from South Carolina.
Archibald YOUNG was a farmer and physician, and for forty-eight years
practiced medicine in Jessamine County. Thomas R. YOUNG entered Centre
College, Danville, in 1851, and graduated in 1855; read medicine under his
father, and entered Jefferson College, Philadelphia, in 1857. He graduated
from this institution in 1859, and at once began practice in Jessamine
County, but in 1868 removed to Ashland, Boyd County. During the interval,
however, he served in the United State army as assistant surgeon under
contract. December 13, 1876, he married Miss Sallie Bagby, daughter of
Alexander Bagby, a lawyer of Ashland. To this union have been born five
children, as follows: Thomas R., Archibald, William C., Orra Walter
(deceased), and Jessie Wallace. The Doctor is a member of the Presbyterian
Church, and is still actively engaged in the practice of his profession.
