John Young

John was born in 1735 in ,,Ireland.¹   John's father was Robert Young and his mother was Mary Douglass.  His maternal grandparents were Jonathon Douglass and UNKNOWN Jemima. He had seven brothers and six sisters, named Samuel, James, Robert, Charles, William, Thomas, Joseph, Agnes, Jane, Margaret, Martha, Elizabeth and Mary.  He was the second oldest of the fourteen children.  He died at the age of 67 on September 3rd, 1802 in ,Washington,TN.

‌John and Isabel were married in a religious ceremony on September 7th, 1763.  They had two sons and three daughters, named Thomas, John, Sarah, Isabella and Mary.
