Martin Whetzel

Martin was born in 1757 in Rockingham,VA. Martin's father was Johannes Martin Whetzel and his mother was Maria Barbara Bonnet. His paternal grandparents were Martin Whetzel and UNKNOWN Susan; his maternal grandparents were Jean Bonnet and Anna Desreau. He had four brothers and three sisters, named George, Lewis, Jacob, John, Eva, Susannah Lucy and Christina. He died at the age of 72 in October 1829.

‌Martin and Mary were married in a religious ceremony about 1784. They had two sons and nine daughters, named George, John, Sarah, Barbary, Rhumana, Catherine, Chloe, Lewis, Mary, Peggy and Rhoda.
