John Whetzel 
John was born on February 6th, 1797. John's father was Martin Whetzel and his mother was Mary Coffield. His paternal grandparents were Johannes Martin Whetzel and Maria Barbara Bonnet. He had a brother and nine sisters, named George, Sarah, Barbary, Rhumana, Catherine, Chloe, Lewis, Mary, Peggy and Rhoda. He died at the age of 81 on February 2nd, 1879.
John and Elizabeth were married in a religious ceremony on July 19th, 1825. They had six sons named Martin, Hiram, John, Lewis, Nancy and William.
