it appears that Martha had a lapse of memmory when she filled out her marriage license to Jacob Lutes for her second marriage . She put her birth date as 18 July 1870. She was listed in the 1870 census as 7 years old. She also married John Sweezy in 1879 at age 16. Jacob was born in 1872, so I suspect she thought it was OK to be 2 years old not 9years older than Jacob.

Funeral Sevices Will be Held Tomorrow Afternoon With Burial at Richland
Mrs. Jacob Lutz aged 55 died about 10:30 o'clock last night at the home on the Lain Kirby farm, north of town.
Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at the home by DR. W.H. Reynolds, with burial at Richland.
Mrs. Lutz leaves a husband and two daughters; one at home. the other, Mrs Lora Hankins, of Milroy.
