John was born in 1786 in WV. John's father was Johannes (Michael Toothman) DUCHMANN and his mother was Barbara Fox (Fuchs). His paternal grandparents were Johann Christman Duchmann and Anna Maria Husser; his maternal grandparents were Jacob FUCHS and Eva Catharina REISS. He had two brothers named George and George. He was the oldest of the three children. He died at the age of 74 in 1860 in ,Decatur,IN.General Notes
