Mathias Sweezey 
Mathias was born on February 4th, 1820 in Shenango Twp,Mercer,PA.1 Mathias' father was Mathias Sweezey and his mother was Elizabeth Pounds. His paternal grandparents were Daniel Sweezey and Margaret Jordon. He had seven brothers and a sister, named George, William, Thomas W., Samuel, David, Jefferson, Isaac and Elizabeth. He was the third youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 58 on August 17th, 1878 in Shenango Twp,Mercer,PA. He was buried in Haywood Cemetery.1 1 -
