Franklin Elwell was born on May 20th, 1861 in Rich Valley,Cameron,PA.1 Franklin Elwell's father was Benjamin Sweezey and his mother was Elizabeth Jane Hamilton. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Sweezey and Jane Jordon. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Enoch, Hamilton Willard, Alonzo B, David Willard, Mary, Amanda, Sarah, Henrietta and Candice L. He was the youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 72 on July 21st, 1933 in Baltimore,MD.1 General Notes
