William MORTIMER

William was born in 1798 in Mason (Fleming),KY.  William's father was Famous MORTIMER and his mother was Fanny FITZGERALD.  His paternal grandparents were Arthur Mortimer and UNKNOWN Sarah. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Bonaparte, David Meranda, Benjamin Sabastian, Sarah, Julianna and Kittura (Catherine).  He was the oldest of the seven children. He had four half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Emanuel, Famous, Nimrod Farrow, Marquis DeLafayette (Lafe), Frances (Fanny), Mary, Dorothy (Dolly) and Elvira Layton.  He died at the age of 80 in 1878.

‌William and Nancy were married in a religious ceremony on January 14th, 1833 in Shelby,IN.
