Sarah was born on September 23rd, 1816 in ,Monroe,VA. Sarah's father was Samuel Gwin and her mother was Elizabeth Taylor. Her paternal grandparents were Samuel Gwin and Elizabeth Lockridge. She had six brothers and six sisters, named Jesse, James, John, Samuel, Andrew, Laban, Mary, Jane, Elizabeth, Julia Ann, Ruth and Nancy. She was the sixth youngest of the thirteen children. She died at the age of 35 in 1851 in ,Carroll,IN.-
