James Gwin 
James was born on February 10th, 1811 in ,Monroe,VA. James' father was Samuel Gwin and his mother was Elizabeth Taylor. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Gwin and Elizabeth Lockridge. He had five brothers and seven sisters, named Jesse, John, Samuel, Andrew, Laban, Mary, Jane, Elizabeth, Sarah, Julia Ann, Ruth and Nancy. He was the fifth oldest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 91 in 1902.-
