Freeda Helen was born on July 31st, 1909. Freeda Helen's father was William Marshall Southern and her mother was Flora Deckard. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Southern and Nancy Deckard; her maternal grandparents were Napoleon Budd Deckard and Elizabeth Mize. She had two brothers and a sister, named Ormaul, Homer O. and Needra Artenus. She was the oldest of the four children. She died at the age of 92 on August 16th, 2001 in Bedford, Lawrence Co., Indiana. She was buried on August 18th, 2001 in Harmony Cemetery, Monroe Co., Indiana.-
