Helen Pearl was born on October 11th, 1890. Helen Pearl's father was Simon Peder Guthu and her mother was Hellen Bennett. Her paternal grandparents were Peder Torstensen and Ronnaug (Ronnow) Olesdatter; her maternal grandparents were Bennett and Bennett. She had seven brothers and six sisters, named Albert, Clarence Elmer, Charlie, Oscar Palmer, Arthur Simon, Benjamin Hale, Lawrence Sylvester, Willie Rice, Ella Adele, Nettie Adel, Jesse Parden, Pearley May and Polly Mae. She was the third youngest of the fourteen children. She died at the age of 70 in November 1960 in Iola,Waupaca County,Wisconsin. She was buried in b. Hitterdahl Church,Iola.-
