Josephus Dodd 
Josephus was born on March 11th, 1815 in Mt. Vernon,Knox,Ohio. Josephus' father was Dr. Stephen DODD and his mother was Phebe Babbit. His paternal grandparents were Parmenas Dod and Patience Wright; his maternal grandparents were Stephen Babbitt and Mary Beach. He had nine brothers and six sisters, named Amzi, Elias Babbitt, George B, Edward Y, Stephen, Isaac Newton, Jesse Roe, John Milton, Oliver B., Sarah, Emeline, Angeline, Phebe, Jemima and Julia Ann. He was the third oldest of the sixteen children. He had two half-sisters named Lydia and Mary Anne. He died at the age of 69 on February 5th, 1885 in Morrison,Illinois.1 -
