Joseph W. Varner 
Joseph W. was born on November 6th, 1810 in Green County, Pennsylvania.1 Joseph W.'s father was John Varner and his mother was Sarah Moore. His paternal grandparents were Adam Varner and Eve Lnu; his maternal grandparents were John Moore and Hannah Armstrong. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Samuel, John "Johnny" Varner, Isaac, Daniel M, Armstrong M, Hannah and Sarah. He was the fourth youngest of the eight children. He died due to bytitis (sic) at the age of 72 on December 10th, 1882 in Center Point, Linn County Iowa.1 
Joseph W. and Lucy were married in a religious ceremony on December 26th, 1831 in Belmont County Ohio.1 They had four sons and five daughters, named Isaac Daniel, Richard Ellis, Lavosier Marcello, John A., Sarah Amelia, Roxanna M, Louania E, Molona E and Rhoda.

Isaac Daniel was born on March 8th, 1834 in Monroe County Ohio.1 He died at the age of 82 on June 14th, 1916. He was buried in Towanda Cemetery, Butler County, KS.1 1
Sarah Amelia Varner
Sarah Amelia was born on May 13th, 1836 in Ohio.1 She died at the age of 39 on June 27th, 1875 in Butler County, Kansas. She was buried in Fairview Cemeter, Butler, KS.1 1
Richard Ellis Varner
Richard Ellis was born in 1841 in Ohio.1 He died at the age of 88 in 1929 in Parkerville, KS.1
Lavosier Marcello Varner
Lavosier Marcello was born on November 13th, 1848 in Monroe County Ohio.1 He died at the age of 73 on September 27th, 1922 in Grandfiled, Tillman County, Oklahoma.1
