Martha was born on April 6th, 1846 in , , Georgia. Martha's father was William Clay Sibley and her mother was Sarah Ellen Carlock. Her paternal grandparents were Elijah Sibley and Mary Clay; her maternal grandparents were John Carlock and Isabelle. She had seven brothers and four sisters, named James B., John, William Capers, George Washington, Hartwell, Joe Louis, Mattie, Marian, Julie, Laura and Sarah Emma. She died at the age of 68 on September 21st, 1914.-
