Nancy Susan Markin

Nancy Susan was born on March 1st, 1845 in Gallia County, Ohio.¹   Nancy Susan's father was William H Markin and her mother was Sarah V. Fillinger.  Her paternal grandparents were Charles W I Markin and Lucinda Dechard; her maternal grandparents were Henry Fillinger and Elizabeth Ferril. She had a brother and three sisters, named Jefferson Taylor, Elizabeth, Sarah and Miranda S.  She was the second oldest of the five children.  She died at the age of 85 on October 11th, 1930 in Wheeling, West Virginia.¹ 

‌Nancy Susan and Wheeler were married in a religious ceremony on September 13th, 1866.¹   They had two sons and a daughter, named Augustus, John W and Electa May.
