Nancy Arena Markin

Nancy Arena was born on May 9th, 1857 in Lawrence County, Ohio.¹   Nancy Arena's father was James M. Markin and her mother was Elizabeth (Betsey) Blankenship.  Her paternal grandparents were Charles W I Markin and Lucinda Dechard. She had five brothers and six sisters, named John Wesley, Cornelius Singleton, James M., Daniel W, George S, Mary (Polly), Caroline, Anna, Sarah Ann, Emaline (Molly) and Martha.  She was the second youngest of the twelve children. She had three half-brothers named Amos, William Sherman and Benjamin F.  She died at the age of 79 on October 6th, 1936 in Vinton Township, Vinton County, Ohio.¹ 

‌Nancy Arena and Francis Marion were married in a religious ceremony on August 25th, 1879 in Vinton, Ohio.¹   They had three sons and five daughters, named Charles M, Noah, Arthur, Wiona, Mary Ellen, Elizabeth E, Edna May McDonald and Nellie Bail.
