Martha Markin

Martha was born in 1854 in Lawrence County, Ohio.¹   Martha's father was James M. Markin and her mother was Elizabeth (Betsey) Blankenship.  Her paternal grandparents were Charles W I Markin and Lucinda Dechard. She had five brothers and six sisters, named John Wesley, Cornelius Singleton, James M., Daniel W, George S, Mary (Polly), Caroline, Anna, Sarah Ann, Emaline (Molly) and Nancy Arena.  She was the third youngest of the twelve children. She had three half-brothers named Amos, William Sherman and Benjamin F.  She died at the age of 82 on October 6th, 1936 in Vinton Township, Vinton County, Ohio.¹ 

They had a daughter named Daisy Violet.
