Sarah Ann Markin

Sarah Ann was born in 1848 in Lawrence County, Ohio.¹   Sarah Ann's father was James M. Markin and her mother was Elizabeth (Betsey) Blankenship.  Her paternal grandparents were Charles W I Markin and Lucinda Dechard. She had five brothers and six sisters, named John Wesley, Cornelius Singleton, James M., Daniel W, George S, Mary (Polly), Caroline, Anna, Emaline (Molly), Martha and Nancy Arena.  She was the sixth oldest of the twelve children. She had three half-brothers named Amos, William Sherman and Benjamin F.

‌Sarah Ann and Amos were married in a religious ceremony in 1867 in Ohio.¹
