  It is believed one son was named Greenbury.  The family is listed on the 1830 Mercer Co. Cens us, but we have not located any information after that date.

  Your "Story Corner" article "Horses from the Past" was of
  particular interest to me because of all the interest in
  horses and horse racing in my line of the Powells.  My
  cousin, Joyce Powell Churchman, of Louisville, raises and
  races thoroughbreds.  A couple of years ago, I was her
  guest at the Derby week festivities and we were able to
  meet some of her horses first-hand.  She did not have a
  horse in the Derby, but one of her horses had been in a
  prior Kentucky Derby race.  Too, my dear aunt (who is past
  90 and living in a personal care home in Louisville)
  handicaps the horses daily during racing season and does
  quite well. Joyce's father was a cousin to my 90-year-old
  aunt and my father.  Not too many years ago, I took up
  horseback riding and learned English-style riding and some
  jumping before I decided I was afraid to jump!  Some of my
  earliest happy memories are of "Diamond" and "Jack" two of
  the horses on my Grandfather William Henry Powell's farm in
  Hardin County, Kentucky.  Another cousin and I now own that
  farm and she manages the farming activities and has a
  "summer place" there, maintaining her primary residence in
  Louisville.  I am sending a copy of the "Horses from the
  Past" to both of these cousins and my dear Aunt Effie.
