Walter de GAUNT

Walter de was born in 1092 in Of, Folkingham, Lincolnshire, England.¹ Walter de's father was Gilbert de Gant and his mother was Alice de MONTFORT. His paternal grandparents were Rudolph de Gand and Gisele de Luxemburg; his maternal grandparents were Hugh de MONTFORT and Alice de BEAUFFOU. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Henry de, Ralph de, Hugh de, Geoffrey de, Robert de, Gilbert de, Felia de, Emma de, Matilda de, Alice de and Agnes de. He was the second youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 47 in 1139.¹
