Gilbert de Gant 
Gilbert de was born in 1048 in Of, Alost, Flanders, Belgium.1 Gilbert de's father was Rudolph de Gand and his mother was Gisele de Luxemburg. His paternal grandparents were Adalbert de Gand and Ermengarde de Flanders; his maternal grandparents were Friederich de Luxemburg and Ermentrude von Gleiburg. He had a brother named Baudouin de. He was the older of the two children. He died at the age of 46 in 1094. He was buried in At, Bardney, Lincolnshire, England.1 1 General Notes
