Gilbert de GAUNT

Gilbert de was born about 1086 in Of, Folkingham, Lincolnshire, England.¹ Gilbert de's father was Gilbert de Gant and his mother was Alice de MONTFORT. His paternal grandparents were Rudolph de Gand and Gisele de Luxemburg; his maternal grandparents were Hugh de MONTFORT and Alice de BEAUFFOU. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Henry de, Ralph de, Hugh de, Geoffrey de, Robert de, Walter de, Felia de, Emma de, Matilda de, Alice de and Agnes de. He was the fourth youngest of the twelve children. He died before 1094.¹
