Laura Georgia was born in 1862 in Lancaster Co., PA. Laura Georgia's father was William Mathias III Slaymaker and her mother was Mary Catharine Eckert. Her paternal grandparents were William Mathias, Jr. Slaymaker and Elizabeth Ellmaker. She had three brothers and eight sisters, named Peter Eckert, William Mathias IV, George C. Eckert, Lucy Eckert, Elizabeth E., Jane Kinzer, Catherine Amanda, Caroline Augusta, Mary Ellen, Edith Iola and Margaret. She was the third youngest of the twelve children. She died at the age of 67 on November 15th, 1929.General Notes
