William Mathias Slaymaker 
William Mathias was born in September 1767 in Lancaster Co., PA. William Mathias' father was Mathias, Jr Slaymaker and his mother was Barbara Smith. His paternal grandparents were Mathias Schleiermacher and Catharine Schiebel. He had a brother and five sisters, named John, Rachael, Rebecca, Elizabeth, Mary and Ann. He died at the age of 58 on February 20th, 1826 in Lancaster Co., PA.General Notes

8 children. Served in Revolutionary War as Ensign with his father in 1st
Battalion 3rd Co. under Col. George Stewart when 14 years old. Served in
the Lancaster County Militia.
