James W Jared

James was born on April 2nd, 1835 in Breckenridge Co., Kentucky.¹ James' father was Mayson Jared and his mother was Polly Dowell. His maternal grandparents were Elijah Dowell and Jemima Board. He had six brothers and eight sisters, named Saloy, Joel, William, Israel, John, Clayton, Eliza, Mary, Letitia, Melinda, Amanda, Sarah, Safrona and Mirian. He was the third oldest of the fifteen children.
