- The Chester Chronicle “Marriages” reported on 28th Jan: “BRERETON-BEBBINGTON On the 17th inst. at Trinity Chapel, Wavertree, by the Rev. Edward Hassan, Mr Samuel Brereton of Winsford, Cheshire to Miss Ellen Bebbington, of the same place.”

Samuel and Ellen were married in a civil ceremony on January 17th, 1865 in West Derby by Reverend Edward Hassan.1
