Richard was born in February 1763 and his baptism took place on February 16th, 1763 at St. Peter's (Bolton).1  Richard's father was Ellis Vickers and his mother was Mary Crook.  His maternal grandparents were John Crook and Hannah (Ann) Twisse. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, John, Peter, Ann and Alice.  He was the oldest of the six children.  He died at the age of 67 in November 1830 in Bolton.  He was buried on November 10th, 1830 at St. Peter's (Bolton).2 



Richard's family with Margaret (Peggy) Manchester

‌Richard and Peggy were married in a religious ceremony on August 18th, 1784.  They had a son and a daughter, named Thomas and Mary.  There are possibly more children.
