Peter was born in March 1780 in Harwood and his baptism took place on March 29th, 1780.1  Peter's father was Ellis Vickers and his mother was Mary Crook.  His maternal grandparents were John Crook and Hannah (Ann) Twisse. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Richard, Thomas, John, Ann and Alice.  He was the youngest of the six children.
