Elizabeth was born in June 1836 in Bolton and her baptism took place on July 3rd, 1836.1  Elizabeth's father was Thomas Tyson and her mother was Hannah Mather.  Her maternal grandparents were John Mather and Betty Sutcliff. She had three brothers and a sister, named Edward, Henry, Thomas and Hannah.  She was the oldest of the five children.  She died at the age of 24 in August 1860 in Rumworth.  She was buried on August 14th, 1860 at St. Mary (Deane).2 3
