Mary was born in January 1735 in Malpas and her baptism took place on January 21st, 1735 at St. Oswalds (Malpas).1  Mary's father was Thomas Tomlinson and her mother was Mary Otterhead. She had six brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, John, Thomas, Randle, William, Randle, Ann, Mary and Martha.  She was the third oldest of the ten children.  She died about 1738 in Malpas.
