Ann was born in February 1731 in Malpas and her baptism took place on February 7th, 1731 at St. Oswalds (Malpas).1  Ann's father was Thomas Tomlinson and her mother was Mary Otterhead. She had six brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, John, Thomas, Randle, William, Randle, Mary, Mary and Martha.  She was the oldest of the ten children.
