Mary was born in 1812 in Liverpool and her christening took place on June 18th, 1815 at St. Peter (Liverpool).1  Mary's father was Richard Timmis and her mother was Ellen Lewis.  Her paternal grandparents were Richard Timmis and Mary Hall. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Josiah, Richard, Catherine, Ellenor, Ann and Jane.  She was the third oldest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 4 in May 1816 in West Derby.  She was buried on June 2nd, 1816 at St. John (Liverpool).2
