Josiah was born on October 14th, 1810 in Liverpool and his christening took place on January 20th, 1811 at St. Peter (Liverpool).1  Josiah's father was Richard Timmis and his mother was Ellen Lewis.  His paternal grandparents were Richard Timmis and Mary Hall. He had a brother and five sisters, named Richard, Catherine, Mary, Ellenor, Ann and Jane.  He was the second oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 2 in January 1813 in Liverpool.  He was buried on January 22nd, 1813 at St. John (Liverpool).2
