John's father was John (Jack) Taylor and his mother was Harriet Brooks. His maternal grandparents were George Brooks and Agnes Almond. He had a brother and a sister, named Frederick and Joan. He was the youngest of the three children. He died at the age of 73 on October 6th, 2013 in Florida. His burial was in Massachusetts (MA).¹
