James Stocks

James was born in August 1848 in Huddersfield.

James' father was George Stocks and his mother was Priscilla Thornton. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Stocks and Lydia Wilkinson. He had two brothers named Samuel and Alfred. He was the second oldest of the three children. He had a half-brother and five half-sisters, named Ainley, Priscilla, Anne, Agnes, Mary and George. He died at 7 months old in March 1849 in Huddersfield. His burial was on March 25th, 1849 at Woodhouse Christ Church.¹
