Kathleen's father was Robert Seddon and her mother was Catherine Jones.  Her paternal grandparents were George Seddon and Sarah Jane Seddon. She had a brother and two sisters, named George, Janet and Joyce.  She was the second oldest of the four children.  She died at the age of 76 in 1996 in Salford.² 

‌Kathleen and Joseph were married in a religious ceremony in 1942 in Leigh.³
