Norman was born on December 19th, 1915 in Hindley.¹

Birth Notes

Norman's father was Richard Orrell and his mother was Margaret Ellen Taylor. His paternal grandparents were Richard Orrell and Sarah Gorse. He had a brother and four sisters, named William, Marian, Dora, Margaret and Clarice. He was the second youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 74 on July 31st, 1990 in Wigan.²
