Job was born in 1857 in Bolton and his baptism took place on July 5th, 1857 at St. Peter's (Bolton).1  Job's father was Job Openshaw and his mother was Alice Haslam.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Openshaw and Jane Tomlinson. He had two brothers and a sister, named Thomas, John and Mary.  He was the youngest of the four children.
