Thomas was the son of Jobe (i.e. Job) Openshaw, a Paper Maker of Middleton and Hannah Lever of Little Lever, Bolton.
18 Oct 1802, Thomas Openshaw of Manchester Towem Roper married Jane Tomlinson at Manchester Cathederal.
1803-1811, the children were baptised at Little Lever. The family then changed to St. Savior, Ringwood.
In 1814-1820, Thomas was a Paper Maker at Outwood when Sarah, Harriet, John and Thomas were baptised. The earlier baptisms also show him at Outwood, but his occupation isn't recorded.
In 1841, Thomas and Jane (60 & 55) were in Little Bolton with Thomas (20), Job (15), Jane (14), and Hannah (2).
