Annie's father was John Morris and her mother was Mabel Isabel Thompson.  Her paternal grandparents were Henry Morris and Anne Wood. She had two sisters named Emily and Mabel.  She was the second oldest of the three children. She had two half-sisters named May and Kathleen.  She died at the age of 90 in November 2000 in St. Helens.²
