Thomas Mather

Thomas was born in June 1846 in Bolton.¹

Thomas' father was James (Jacobi) Mather and his mother was Margaret Wood. He had four brothers and three sisters, named William, James, Joseph, John, Jane, Mary and Martha. He was the seventh oldest of the eight children.

- The Thomas Mather son or Ralph and Rosannah, born the same year is another.
  
  In 1861, John and Mary (20 & 17) were with their father and step-mother James and Mary Mather (52 & 38) at 59 Derby Street, Bolton. Thomas and Martha were missing.
